Droid Tesla is a user-friendly and powerful circuit simulator, suitable for a wide range of users. It is particularly beneficial for students starting out in electronics circuit design and construction, as well as hobbyists, tinkerers, and seasoned professionals who need a quick and convenient tool for electronics circuit design calculations.

DroidTesla simulator solves basic resistive circuits using Kirchoff's Current Law (KCL), just as a student in a circuits class would. The simulator systematically forms a matrix based on KCL and then solves for the unknown quantities using algebraic techniques like Gaussian elimination and sparse matrix techniques.

For non-linear components such as diodes and BJTs, DroidTesla engine searches for an approximate solution by making an initial guess and then improving the solution with successive calculations. This iterative process uses the Newton-Raphson iterative algorithm to solve circuits with non-linear I/V relationships.

For reactive elements like capacitors and inductors, DroidTesla uses numeric integration methods to approximate the state of these elements over time. The simulator offers Trapezoidal and GEAR integration methods, with the GEAR method generally considered more stable, while the trapezoidal method is faster and more accurate.
